Good Morning Newport Community,
This is Donna Magoon, Newport Interim Superintendent. Due to snow cleanup still underway, unsafe walking conditions, power outages, and buses and cars unable to drive on many roads, The Newport Schools will change from a delayed opening to a school closure on March 15.
I apologize if this puts a burden on families, please know our goal is to ensure student and staff safety.
Due to school closure, there will be no extracurricular activities.
Thank you, please be safe, and have a fun snow day!
