Open communication is a priority of the district and a right of the community to be heard. The Newport School Board (NSB) encourages the proper use of channels but may be heard direct through the communication button. The NSB welcomes the community to share thoughts, successes, suggestions, recognition and concerns. Any complaints about school personnel, employees, students or administration may be subject to certain administrative procedures that follow federal law, state law, contract or collective bargaining agreements will be referred back to the Superintendent to follow those procedures.

Newport School Board Strategic Action Planning Goals and Initiatives


 I. Establish and sustain high standards for student achievement across all levels of schooling in the District for all children built upon curriculum, instruction and assessment, and district wide collaborative support.

Provide opportunities for a high level of engagement of the community in our schools to develop mutual trust, respect, collaboration, team building, and sustainability.



 III.
 

Manage a responsible, efficient, cohesive, and cost effective model for the allocation of resources across the district; also integrating collaboration and regionalization.
