Anthony DiPadova, III has been named the September Mascoma Savings Bank and WNTK Student of the Month at Newport High School. DiPadova is at the top of his class as a Newport High School senior according to his guidance counselor, and will graduate as a New Hampshire Scholar.
The son of Anthony DiPadova, Jr. of Claremont and Patricia DiPadova of Newport, Anthony has retained a “straight A” class average throughout his four years at Newport High School and is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. He has selected a rigorous course of studies including Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus, Honors Chemistry, Honors English and Spanish III.
A three season athlete, Anthony plays soccer and is a cross-country runner this fall. He plans to participate in ski team this winter and track in the spring. He is involved in music at Newport High School and is an actor with community performances through Performers Playground. He is a school community volunteer, having served on the Veteran’s Breakfast team and in fundraising efforts for the Philippine Hurricane Relief Fund.
Anthony is recipient of several academic awards including Honor Roll, English Student of the Year, Model Student Award and earlier this year received the Dartmouth College Book Award. Anthony is described by his guidance counselor as “humble and appreciative…he is a true gift both in and out of school. Anthony is a very selfless person, a quality that is very hard to find among high school students. Newport High School is proud to have Anthony DiPadova as part of their student body.”
